I think it's about progressing from the "Glitter" stage of a relationship to the stage of disillusionment. The third stage is acceptance or compromise, but most relationships don't make it to that stage. This is about one dying after failing to reach that compromise found in the third stage.
Or at least that's what I gather. |

I swear that when I saw them Patton shrieked the "I bought a gun" part...I have lots of Tomahawk bootlegs and he doesn't seem to do it in any of the others.
I think it's about the obsessive feeling that you're the only person for someone and that you'll just wait for them to realize it as they wade through all the other shit until it takes them to figure it out. |

Amazingly brilliant song. The emphasis of him finally doing his trademark 'belt it out' thing on the last "Save my love" is devastating.
When you think you've found someone, have dealt with them, and are realizing that it's just not going to be, you must realize that you should save your strongest love for the 'lasting one'.

This is DWRs worst song, yes. I spoke to them about it and they all agree that it is bad. Jabe and Eddie said that they needed one more song for the album so they just crapped this one out real fast to take up space, and they regret making it. |
