Dude, Metallica trying to imitate something? What are you talking about? Their sound is totally different and they continue to grow musically. Hetfield and Hammett are sick sick guitarists, Lars is nasty, and, well...fuck Jason. But, dude, if Whiskey in the Jar is the only Metallica song you like I'd say your musical taste, well you have no taste. Enjoy listening to Creed while you finger your butt. |

Call of Ktulu is just simply an amazing song. It's incredibly expressive emotionally and extremely complex musically. I haven't really come across many songs that are harder to play than this one on guitar. As for the Hangar 18 riff, Mustaine wrote that riff before Metallica wrote Ktulu...but really, who cares? There is a piece of some song in every song. It's great that this song exists because it's amazing. |
