Great, great interpretations of the meaning of this song guys.. it's refreshing to see people actually write about what the song MEANS to THEM, instead of just saying something totally mundane like "this song rocks!" Another interesting thing to me about this song is how it ends.. It ends the way it begins, with the "Come come Naveed" as it's fading out. I like Fallen Leaves' view of that beginning line being like the person "begging" for the bearer of good news to come into his life. This song is just a small snippet of the thoughts that are going through this person's mind. In this case, it may have been the loss of someone close to him/her, whether it was by suicide or not, I guess it really doesn't matter. That's the real beauty of a song like this though, it's sooo wide open for interpretation. If there was ever a "sequel" to this song, it may about something else that has rocked this person's life, but him reacting in a similar fashion. |

Just got back from the concert in Albany, NY. They opened with this and went directly into Life Wasted afterwards. Possibly the best opening to any concert I've been to, and I've been to alot. It was almost surreal, the stage was totally black except for a blueish-greenish spotlight that shown down on Eddie...amazing |

My thoughts on the line, "And when she said, 'don't you wish you were dead like me." She's a heartless bitch, she basically is saying that to rub it in that she's dumping him. If he was "dead" like her, it wouldn't hurt him that she was leaving...just a thought. |

Hmm...it's surprising no one else has commented on this song. Maybe people think the room they're in will burst into flames if they leave a post for this band. Whatever the reason, I think the meaning of this song is obvious. I think the reason they wrote this song is even more obvious, just a couple guys trying to get laid. The song still rocks though...80s Glam forever! |

Im pretty sure this song is about drugs, and his addiction. The lines, "I'm coming down, coming down like a monkey" and "Just try to shake it loose, cut it free, let it go" are pretty good evidence for this. Any other thoughts? |
