Ya know, I personally think this song is kinda lame. The chorus is really weak and the live version of it is pretty lame too. It's about a man who lives someone and is misused but now they can understand that they're being treated like shit and so he is, 'blinded no more'. |

| This song is mainly dedicated to his mother I believe. After his father (A white Marine Jamaican) died, his mother and himself had to move to Kingston Trenchtown and his mom was really depressed. Well, that's just what I think. | |

| Ahah, I never heard the last part of the song when Joc says, 'Please kids, don't do drugs. Give them to me to get rid of' Heh, Joc, you silly bitch. | |
| The Offspring – Smash Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| See now one thing that pisses me off about people who think they're 'being their own person' is usually, they're just the losers who can't get any friends and no one likes them. Or cause they're ugly and can't buy the clothes that they like so they say they're 'not conforming'. The sad thing now adays is the only way to not conform, is to well, conform. | |

They tell me unlock this door curiosity becomes a scream what could be behind it behind this door stands a piano the keys are dusty the strings are out of tune behind this door she sits at the piano but she doesn't play anymore oh, that was so long ago There, at the piano I listened to her and when her performance began I held my breath She said to me I'll always stay with you but it only seemed that she played for me alone I poured her blood into the fire of my rage I locked the door they asked for her There, at the piano I listened to her and when her performance began I held my breath There, at the piano I stood beside her it seemed she played for me alone The door is open oh, how they scream I hear mother pleading father is beating me they take her from the piano and no one believes me here that I am deathly ill from sorrow and the stench There, at the piano I listened to her and when her performance began I held my breath There, at the piano she listened to me and when my performance began she held her breath |

Alright well, this is what I got out of the song. . . Geöffnet ist die Tür ei wie sie schreien ich höre die Mutter flehen der Vater schlägt auf mich ein man löst sie vom Klavier und niemand glaubt mir hier das ich todkrank von Kummer und Gestank Translated to English would be: The door is open oh, how they scream I hear mother pleading father is beating me they take her from the piano and no one believes me here that I am deathly ill from sorrow and the stench I'm assuming that he killed her and stayed in the room with her and the Piano. The stench of her rotting corpse made him ill. Nothing about him locking her into a room, he killed her in the room and stayed in there with her. I'll post the English trans. . . |
