"Always a popular choice at a Dropkick show."
To me this song is a skinhead/working class anthem about sticking by your friends and leading an honest life. Also, about how skinheads are often criticized and misunderstood. |

"Ken Casey's Grandfather, John Kelly, is the man referred to in the song. This song caught on like wildfire when it came out. Also a fan favorite."
I think this song is about how John Kelly helped paved the way for the Irish coming to America so that they and their families could live good lives and ease some of the hardships they were facing. |

This is a live acoustic song of their new EP "Tessie". The lyrics were not printed in the cd or on their website, so I figured them out by ear. I think they are pretty accurate. I'm not sure exactly what it's about, but to me it sounds like it's about someone (Frankie) that has come from nothing and goes through a tough life. Even though Frankie goes through all these hardships and grows old, he still strives to be someone and doesn't give up hope. Pretty good song. |
