The song is still rooted in machismo and underpinned by misogyny, despite the fact that Cube isn't talking about violence. I mean, some of the lyrics here really are awful... I don't think it's necessarily a homosexual love affair, i think it could just as easily be straight, but i don't think that's what's important, what is important is that he is telling someone, a friend, that he has deeper feelings, and like another poster said, "what difference does it make as you're still in control and these feelings can't go any further unless you return them. If you don't return the deeper feelings then we can still be friends." but the other person, now that they know their friend Mr Mozza is secretely in love with them, they can't continue the friendship. I'm sure there's plenty of people who have spoken their true feelings of love to a friend only for that person to be weirded out and to shun them. I'm sure some of you guys have confessed some kinda love or crush to a female friend and it has pretty much soured the friendship. |

josh homme was the founding member of both bands. Nick Oliveri left kyuss after a few albums. He re joined with josh when josh formed QOTSA. Josh didn't sing a single note on kyuss though, the kyuss singer was john garcia. Garcia now performs with hermano. Josh and nick are the only permanent members of qotsa, everyone else plays as guests, usually for an album or tour. The band has very much a revolving door policy. The first queens album is a great rock album, the 2nd album, rated r, is much more diverse, and the 3rd album, song for the deaf, is just f***ing great.
