The imagery is so vivid...the emotion in this song is so sincere. Liss has a point and I see it too...the car crash may have been caused by the influence of drugs. "We followed white lines to the sunset, crash my car everyday the same way" could have two meanings...lines- drugs and lines- on the road...And the same goes for "the needle" I am not trying to over analyze but I think that there may be some reading between the lines as well as the blatantly obvious.
