| Miracle of 86 – Two-Color Pattern Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| It's simple, really. No one has commented because maybe one out of a billion people actually know that there once existed a band called the Miracle of 86. | |
| Alter Bridge – Find The Real Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Christ, these guys are pathetic. I didn't think it was possible for them to become even *bigger* wannabe's withOUT Scott Stapp, but it has indeed happened. | |
| Cold – The Day Seattle Died Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| These guys are a bunch of posers. The title of the song alone indicates that Cold as a group knows precisely jack shit about music on the whole. | |
| Jeff Buckley – Hallelujah (Leonard Cohen cover) Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| The voice of an angel. | |
| The Beatles – You've Got to Hide Your Love Away Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
Regos The Sane: "The song is about masturbation (as mentioned above) because Vedder's cover makes the Beatles look like the wankers they are." You're fucking kidding me, right? A Pearl Jam fan actually badmouthing the Beatles? Do the rest of us a favor and go shoot yourself in the fucking face. It pains me to like the same band as you. Go die. |
|
| Further Seems Forever – The Sound Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| Pretty lame indeed. Though I still fucking love his vocals. I'm totally up in the air about who I like better, Jason or John. I love both albums though, and seeing as I fucking hate Chris Caraba, the first album can suck my ass. | |
| Sugarcult – Memory Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| Whatever it's about, it's easily one of the most beautiful songs ever written. And this is coming from someone who likes Pearl Jam like he likes oxygen and food. | |
| Gratitude – Last Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
This band is amazing. I love Onelinedrawing, and when I heard Gratitude was playing with Jimmy Eat World, I was ecstatic. I saw them in Providence in early November. They were fantastic. I can't believe how good the music is. They were better than the other opening band, Recover, who sucked ass, frankly. I can't wait for the full-length album. |
|
| Pearl Jam – Black Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| I sincerely hope that those of you saying "Pearl Jam is Creed" and "Creed is Pearl Jam" realize that you're all as dumb as a sack of hammers. Creed is a band that is made up of hypocrites and posers, while Pearl Jam is the most imitated band of the 1990's and today. Scott Stapp couldn't write his way out of Eddie Vedder's jock strap, for fuck's sake. You can't even compare Creed to Pearl Jam other than to say that Creed puts in every effort to be a Pearl Jam clone, but fails miserably. | |
| Pearl Jam – Daughter Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| Amen. A-fucking-men. Creed is a fucking disease. Scott Stapp would sell his left nut for a *FRACTION* of Vedder's talent and ability. | |
| Pearl Jam – Breakerfall Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| Popularity is not a prerequisite for greatness. As is the story of Pearl Jam. | |

| Iron Maiden – The Number Of The Beast Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
Woe to you, o' Earth and sea... For the Devil sends the Beast with wrath... Because he knows the time is short... Let him who hath understanding reckon the number of the Beast... For it is a human number... It's number is six-hundred and sixty-six. |

| The Who – Baba O'Riley Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| This song is amazing. I saw Pearl Jam play it on July 3rd, 2003 in Mansfield, MA. My impression is that it's about partying, having fun while you're young. And if not, it certainly does incite a party-esque atmosphere when PJ plays it live. :) | |

People who hate wrestling hate it for all the wrong reasons. The biggest reason: ignorance with a large order of stupidity. "OMG WWF SUX0RZ LOLOL DEY R JUST BIG SWEATY MEN LOLZ". Yeah, we get it, you're an idiot. Just stop talking. I love this song, and I love OLP. |

| Midtown – You Should Know Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| Aww we all know what this song is about, it's not like Midtown has these deep, incredible song meanings like some other bands do. Regardless, this entire CD r0xx0rz my s0xx0rz. | |
| Midtown – Perfect Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| I love this entire CD. Perfect is one of my favorite songs on it, because it reminds me of a girl I know. That sounds cliched, but who cares, this song rocks. | |
| Midtown – Perfect Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| I love this song, what I hate is when people bitch about a different sound. You expect a band to produce endless amounts of the same crap without altering their sound one bit? Give me a break. This song rocks. | |
| Pearl Jam – Let Me Sleep Lyrics | 23 years ago |
|
I just came up with another possible meaning of this song. This song could be about a homeless person trying to avoid being miserable on the year's biggest holiday. "Cold wind blows on the soles of my feet" The person doesn't have any shoes, and cold wind is blowing on their bare, exposed feet. "Heaven knows nothing of me" God has no mercy, my situation is grim, and it appears as though Heaven isn't going to help me any time soon. "I'm lost, nowhere to go" I have no family, no friends, no possible place to go in this cold weather, I'm out on my ass, with nobody and nothing. "Oh when I was a kid, oh how magic it seemed" When I was a kid, living in a house, with my family, Christmas was the most magical time of year, what ever happened to that? "Oh please let me sleep, it's Christmas time" Just leave me. I'd rather be asleep than have to suffer being homeless and alone on Christmas. "Flowered winds was where I lived" I used to be in a better situation, everything was perfect, like flowers in the wind. Now look at me. "Thought you burned, not froze for your sins" I'm out in the cold, with no shelter, freezing to death. Maybe I made some mistakes, but at least put me in a place that's warm, instead of punishing me by making me freeze. "Oh, I'm so tired, and cold" 'tired' has a double meaning here. Tired physically, and tired of having to "live" this way. I'm naturally cold because it's winter and I'm homeless. I'm also emotionally cold, I've forgotten what it feels like to be emotionally warm and active. "Oh, when I was a kid...oh how magic it seemed" See above "Oh, please let me sleep it's Christmas time" Ditto "Oh...oh, when I, if I was a kid...oh, how magic it seemed" Likewise "Oh please let me dream it's Christmas time" Let me sleep and have dreams of what it was like when I was able to enjoy Christmas, when all this suffering had not yet consumed me. |

| Pearl Jam – Let Me Sleep Lyrics | 23 years ago |
|
I can't believe nobody has commented on this gem of a song. This is Pearl Jam's 1991 Christmas single, and it's one of their greatest songs to date. The lyrics of this song are intended to relay the image of a typical family Christmastime celebration. "Cold wind blows on the soles of my feet" He's asleep, it's Christmas morning, his feet are cold due to the typical December weather. "Heaven knows nothing of me" I'm living my life, with no intention of leaving any time soon "I'm lost, nowhere to go" I'm still groggy from being woken up early in the morning "Oh, when I was a kid...oh, how magic it seemed" This refers to the feeling of thick anticipation all children get on Christmas morning. Any young child would be up bright and early on Christmas morning, but not at his age. "Oh, please let me sleep, it's Christmas time" I'm not a kid anymore, I'd rather sleep on Christmas morning, as opposed to being excited and waking up early. "Flowered winds was where I lived" An ambiguous reference to where he lived when he was a kid, it wasn't as cold as it is in Seattle, the winds bore a soft, flower-like feeling, rather than a coldness. "Thought you burned, not froze for your sins" To me, this is saying 'It's too damned cold here! I'm sorry for whatever it was I did wrong, just make it not so god damn cold!' "Oh, I'm so tired, and cold" As I said, it's Christmas morning, I'm freezing my ass off, and I just want to sleep some more. "Oh, when I was a kid...oh, how magic it seemed" Same as above "Oh, please let me sleep it's Christmas time" Same as above "Oh...oh, when I, if I was a kid...oh, how magic it seemed" Same as above, pretty much "Oh, please let me dream, it's Christmas time" This is saying, 'Leave me to my sleep, I want to take part in dreams of my childhood, and how much more magical Christmas was for me back then.' All in all, easily one of my favorite PJ songs. I can't wait to play this song when I wake up on Christmas morning this year. :) |

| Pearl Jam – Yellow Ledbetter Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| Some of you are correct, and some of you aren't. Those lyrics up above, they are not correct (for the studio version, that is). This song was recorded in one take. PJ went into the studio and recorded it as a b-side for the "Jeremy" single, in one simple take. Ed's voice in this song is meant to be left open for interpretation, not to be pidgeonholed by all of you to say what he's saying and what he's not. When performed live in concert, the "lyrics" are completely improv. Honestly, it really doesn't matter what Ed is saying. The song is beautiful, and should, like all art, be left open for interpretation. | |
