Just like midnight, this song reminds me of myself... Like most of the other people here, I think that, yes, it's about a little girl (seven years old, maybe? ;-) ) who finds joy in the smallest things and always wants to share her joy and peace and happiness with whoever comes along... But I feel the words "and she's all alone" mean not that she's physically alone -- but that, most likely, no one else really views the word the same way she does, hardly anyone else finds joy in the simple things. We always say that children are the picture of pure innocence and naivete, but that the rest of the world (or almost all of it) is the opposite... and I think this is Norah's own way of stating that. Oh, and midnight, I have to agree with you, John's awesome. :-D |
