Anyone who regards Tolkien's Lord of the Rings as allegerical is wrong. In the introduction to the book tolkien says that his books are not allegerical. If you don't believe me then read the introduction. Lord of the Rings is timeless classic due to the fact that it is not allegerical and can not be reflected in any time of society. |

Alright punkers? My input to probably the most interesting page of songmeanings.com is why has no one mentioned anything about RELIGON? Not that i'm a pantheist or anything but it's pretty important to remember that the fundamental Afghans who apparantley flew into the world trade centre did not particulary like christians. |

| Incubus – Redefine Lyrics

The Dirk Lance bass solo in this song is a classic example of his ability. The fact that he can play it perfect live demonstrates a skill that not many bassist can say they have achieved. In Morning View Dirk plays the bass in a very conformed style. He basically play off Mike and its very boring. I think most pop music focus's on a catchy guitar riff and a nice voice that people can sing a long to. The bass in fungus amongus is possibly the most influential style of music i have listenend to and I would never be able to say that the bass, singing or guitar style is similar to the style within morning view. I thought Mike's guitar solos in Fungus Amongus was improvisation at its best. Personally I think the evolution process of Incubus has gone wrong and to people who enjoyed their first and second album have been shocked to see their style change from an old rchp/Mr Bungle influence to an overproduced boring piece of shit. The nice sound you listen to wears away within a few sessions of listening to it. By the way why do you think Dirk Lance left? I hate it. |

| Capdown – Cousin Cleotis Lyrics

This song relates to Capdown's obsession with smoking weed. They are obviously trying to put across a message that positively represents the smoking cannabis image. However it seems to contradict the upbeat genre this song fits into. Playing Skacore is great but you do not need to "Liberate yourself, your mind, mankind" by smoking pot because it creates what Jake says: "the frustration of my ignorant days, is just a haze". Five Knuckle my preferred Ska-core band attack this song in their song called Sleep Easy which gives a more reflective representation to smoking pot. |
