I think this song in some strange way is stating how much Good Charlotte sucks, and the talent that MTV has warped kids minds into thinking they have is a bunch of BS. And, NO, just because a band is played on MTV, and tons of kids buy their albums doesn't mean they are good musicians. Little shit kids will do anything if the media tells them to! So, it is just a little while longer, before Good Charlotte, along with some many other "pop punk" bands fade away, and will be looked upon with the same laughter as such bands/musicians as Vanilla Ice, and New Kids On the Block. So, all you GC shirt wearing children, enjoy your days of pride now! |

That was entertaining reading all that jazz. And, CC are amazing musicians, and if all you, who are trying to defend these lyrics, if you have ever read an interview of CC, you'd be well aware that they write their lyrics to shock people, and provide laughter for those with derranged minds. So, yes, I am a fan of CC, and I listen to them with absolutely no feelings of regret, but, I will say, their lyrics are disgusting, even if they make me smile, and feel all juicy inside! |

THIS SONG IS OBVIOUS WHAT IT IS ABOUT. IT IS ABOUT A GUY THAT USE TO BE IN LOVE WITH A GIRL, AND STILL IS....BUT SHE TOTALLY CHANGED. THUS BRING THE TITLE "THE NEW YOU". HE LOVED EVERYTHING SHE USE TO DO, BUT THE PERSON SHE CHANGED INTO HAS CORRUPTED HIS FEELINGS FOR HER, AND THIS NEW HER HAS NO APPARENT FEELINGS FOR HIM. |

I FIND THIS SONG TO BE ABOUT THE GUY THAT IS SO IN LOVE WITH THIS GIRL, BUT HE HATES THE FACT THAT HER FEELINGS ARE MUTUATAL, AND THE WAY SHE TREATS HIM. HE IS WILLING TO PUT ALL ON THE LINE, JUST TO GIVE HER A SPARK OF INTEREST IN HIM.
