| I realize its his downward spiral of drug addiction, but i think people take Hurt as the end of the character's life in the cd (from the big bang), but Hurt is more of the final hope after the death in the Downward Spiral song. its his view after death, he gives reasons why he finished his life instead of saving his soul, and how he wouldnt change who he was no matter what he went through. i almost feel like this is the memories leaving him after death, where his human and mechanical emotions pour out, and that is why it is rare of him to finish this song live.. because of the raw emotions he pushes out from the lyrics and his overwhelming connection to it all.. the downward spiral is beautiful | |

Yeah i think this song is the best song on Animosity! but i guess other people dont think that D; I think this song is just talking about someone that he loved but never gave much time to notice her because of other things and now that she left or is leaving he's starting to feel guilty bout the things he did and doesnt want her to leave. It's hard to say who he is talking about, but by experience of my relationship i feel it might be his mother. |

I feel like this song is talking about someone who has been through nothing but lies and following the wrong people that are just messing the person up, and how Lajor would reach out a hand and let him see past what his life has been even though the lies has made that person full of hatred, but that person wont realize what he's doing until Lajon made him see what was going on good song i luv it :D the video is ight too |
