I think this song tells the story of the last three days that Jesus Christ was alive. I know this sounds weird, but look "you and me and a bottle of wine." ( the last supper.) "Save tonight and fight the break of dawn," (the agony in the garden.) he asks his friends to stay up with him that night."tomorrow I'll be gone," Jesus died the day after the agony in the garden. "There's a log on the fire and it burns like me for you," Jesus says that he is the light of the world many times in the bible. "Tomorrow comes with one desire to take me away" people mourn every Good Friday over his death. "Darlin please don't start to cry" Jesus told his mother to stop crying on the day of his death. "Lord, I wish it weren't so." On the cross Jesus said, "Lord have this cup pass from me if it is your will."I know it sounds weird, but it kind of makes since if you listen to it closely. I just want to say that I love this song and that its one of my favorites |
