my grandfather was in the war and went to that bridge, thankfully lived to spawn my father and me, but it was amazing to hear that he was at the place that this song is. this song is on a CD of the london Philharmonic orchestra doing floyd songs. BTW, the Tigers are tanks. : ) |

the sweet frustration is the search for love. frustrating to look for, but so sweet when it is found. "pain, from throwing my insides out" is the pain of having his feelings not returned after expressing them. "and someday, my sweet frustrations will bloom" means that someday he will find his love, that he's been waiting (figuratively speaking) a thousand days for. this is all just my opinion, how i take the song. your view may differ.....greatly ; ) |
