Something For Kate – Old Pictures Lyrics 23 years ago
This seems like the story of something terribly important being lost. Perhaps a loved one. In my opinion it's about a point where that thing is remembered in (im just guessing here) maybe Paul's mind. The last powerful memory of a time long past that will never leave the mind and is reflected upon again and again in the heart and the mind. Whatever it is, it's a very powerful, inspirational song that I can relate to so deeply that it scares me.

Something For Kate – Happy Endings Lyrics 23 years ago
I think that this is about the slow prpgression of life as we live it. "All the little victories" that we gather up and hang on the wall. The way that we live and gather so much and yet we lose so much of ourselves as we grow and progress and by the end we just live the same path as we have done so many times before and eventually we give up and stop singing the same old song. It's about a changing point in life when you realise that what you have done is in the past and what is ahead is so much more important.

Something For Kate – Feeding The Birds And Hoping For Something In Return Lyrics 23 years ago
Well this is my first post on this site. I am probably one of the biggest SFK fans out there (but everyone who really knows them them feels that way i guess). They have a way of touching you with their lyrics and this song is no exception. I think that this is about a man who gives to society and waits for his reward but it never comes. "He sees the buildings waiting. He sees them tired and leaning on eachother." This is a great use of symbolism. I believe it refers to how this man sees the people around him losing spirit and he's done so much and "planned it like a battle" but the bleek reality is that everything comes unstuck in the end.
