| Gorillaz – 19-2000 Lyrics | 23 years ago |
FYI: Gorillaz consists of only Damon Albarn and The Automator (Dan Nakamura). So, Noodle (along with Murdoc and Russel) is fictitious. That is actually Miho Hatori (Cibo Matto) singing the chorus. Turdsnatcher2000, i think you might have seen that in the spacemonkeyz vs. gorillaz cd. In the booklet it has two phrases in bubbles with the first one having an arrow pointing to the next: "Apollo greed" --> "cruel shoe shine." roger wilco's interpretation seems fair. BTW, going back to the very first comment, SEVEN THREE THREE TEE, as Liface so eloquently put it, is "leet" speak (computer slang) for saying "elite." I think Liface fucked it up though. 733T doesn't make sense. It's supposed to be 1337, leet, elite. Bah, whatever. This song is weird but has that uplifting foist on listeners. |

| Gorillaz – Left Hand Suzuki Method Lyrics | 23 years ago |
Suzuki was a Japanese violin teacher who was known for his developmental psychology methods of teaching. He created the "Suzuki method" of teaching to teach children how to play musical instruments. His method emphasized repitition of what is being taught in the young student's life. He claimed that children would easily learn to play the difficult violin if surrounded by violin music, every minute of everyday. This song is rebelling against the pop music people are fed every damned day. Rebel! Gorilla warfare! :P Corrections: "the most important thing is listening the recording of the music" (sic) "and also every day, every lesson, we have to make sure they learn about tonalization" |
