| Mindless Self Indulgence – My World Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Nice Wizard Of Oz reference, but I don't really dig the song. | |
| Mindless Self Indulgence – Mark David Chapman Lyrics | 18 years ago |
For me, it's about how many bands are out there doing nothing original, and something needs to be done about it. It plays with the extreme idea that sending out a killer to take out these bands would make the industry less bland. Got to love those drum's though. |

| Foo Fighters – Exhausted Lyrics | 19 years ago |

Big fan of this song. I really like how the chorus of it is basically that big guitar riff kicking in. There is a strong sense of loss in the song. |

"I went for gold, but only got the bronze" - Nick |
| Queens of the Stone Age – The Fun Machine Took A Shit And Died Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Josh says they left the masters at another studio, and couldn't get them back in time. | |
| Queens of the Stone Age – Back to Dungaree High (Turbonegro cover) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I've Got A Headache In My Pants is one of the greatest lines in music. | |
| Failure – Heliotropic Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I thought it was more being drawn to the heroin, and not being able to resist it. Heliotropic being when a rose moves with the sun. | |
| Queens of the Stone Age – Mosquito Song Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Anyone that is looking for deeper meaning is an idiot. Josh is from the desert, and as such, has had to deal with some nasty flies. This is an ode to those buggers. | |
| Foo Fighters – Wattershed Lyrics | 19 years ago |
No ones commented? This song is fucking badass. I think it's about being a cocky youth. |
| The Postal Service – Nothing Better Lyrics | 19 years ago |
The best part of this song is the Nintendo style music. Song meaning is extremely obvious. |
| Tool – Rosetta Stoned Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| The stealth banana thing is a Bill Hicks reference. | |
| Auf Der Maur – I'll Be Anything You Want Lyrics | 19 years ago |
The verse riff sounds like London Calling, except the bass does the guitar parts and vice versa. It's just a happy flirty track. |
| Tool – Stinkfist Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Fisting. Plain and simple. Those who inject more than that are just kidding themselves. | |
| Josh Freese – Why Won't 'Left Eye' Get With Me? Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| He had a thing from teh chick off TLC? She's dead now isn't she? | |
| Josh Freese – Playboy Mansion Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| This song is badass, just like Freese. Anohter look into the life of one of the best rockstars today. | |
| Queens of the Stone Age – Auto Pilot Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Rated R is all about drugs and sex. This song falls into the former catergory. | |
| Failure – The Nurse Who Loved Me Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I think it's about some warped Stockholm Syndrome that someone, most probably fictional, has whilst in rehab. So yeah, whilst the nurse treats everyone the same, the main character believes she thinks of him differently, and romantically. | |
| Metallica – -Human Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| No it isn't. See on the back there? With the minus sign? Yeah, that would be the MINUS sign. | |
| Queens of the Stone Age – Skin On Skin Lyrics | 20 years ago |
In an interview with Kerrang Josh says "It's about having sex on the brain, 24-7" I think it was pretty obvious anyway. |
| Queens of the Stone Age – Broken Box Lyrics | 20 years ago |
At Thursday's concert in Sydney Josh said "This is about a girl who fucks on the first date. It sounds great, but it really is not." And then it sounded fantastic live. |

| Faith No More – Evidence Lyrics | 21 years ago |
Hmm I am undecideed by this song. Half of me thinks its oral sex because of the melody of the song, and how...sensual the song sounds. But the other half of me thinks its rape because of the "Anything you say, we know you're guilty Hands above your head and you won't even feel me" lines. I am tending to take that a bit more literally than I probably should. |
| Faith No More – Epic Lyrics | 21 years ago |
I always thought the lyrics were about the music itself. Patton has never been incredibly deep, and certainly never touched drugs. But the idea that rap, hip hop, metal, funk, soul all combined into one was a novel concept at the time, and I think that Patton is guessing the audiences' inability to fully "get" their music.. |

| Nine Inch Nails – The Downward Spiral Lyrics | 22 years ago |
I think it shows that you may be working to make your life the fullest for 25 years or whatever yet you could end it all in a second. It shows how frail and dragile ( :P ) life can be |
| Nine Inch Nails – Heresy Lyrics | 22 years ago |
I guess its just a view on how much religion has died down in the last 50 years or so. It shows that people are becoming apathetic or just dont want to believe. Or it could be that some so called Christians commit the worst of sins yet they claim to obey all the rules |
| Nine Inch Nails – Mr. Self Destruct Lyrics | 22 years ago |
Its a good song. But there is one thign with this site, not every song happens to be about drugs. I mean even fuel by Metallica, which is clearly about James' passion for racing, is slandered as a drug song. Anyways back to the meaning, i think it's about how he is in a relationship with someone, and she is threatening to break up and his argument is "You cant live without me! i'm all you ever relied apon" Then again, it might be about drugs, it's whatever the song means to you :P |

| Metallica – St. Anger Lyrics | 22 years ago |
I think the album would be awesomeshit to hear live. lars wouldnt drown the whole sound out and it would lose the Garagy feel it has. Huge Step up from Reload though, as that just seemed not quite melodic (Load) and not nearly metal (rest of catalouge). NOw onto the song: Well according to Kirk its the exact opposite to a saint he sees in a painting on a daily basis? It seems that someone is annoying him so, and that it is suffocating him (ST Anger round my neck). The line "He never gets respect" seems to be that this person is never liked by anyone....let alone James who is madly in anger with him |
| Metallica – Ride The Lightning Lyrics | 22 years ago |
Awesome guitar solo too. Anyway yea, i mean the guy DID do it, says it in writing above me. But the guy shuldnt of died, and James feels strongly against it. I think the story is fictional but an accurate representation on the death penalty |
| Metallica – Whiplash Lyrics | 22 years ago |
People above are right, and the song is fairly straight forward, not nearly reaching the lyrical brilliance of Load. Whiplash, musically speaking, means that when you dont have earplugs or anything, you can hear the words coming back to you, and your not sure if its your own voice or the crowds. |
| Soundgarden – Black Hole Sun Lyrics | 22 years ago |
I guess the song is in the same vain of AEnema by Tool, about how someone may finally try something innovitive and get rid of the follows. Then again, it might be about Chris' reluctance to be a rock star. From reading interviews, Chris just wants to be left alone, and i guess it means that he wants the general public to leave him alone. In my shoes, a walking sleep And my youth I pray to keep To me, that means that he wants the genral public to leave him alone like before |

| Tool – You Lied (Peach cover) Lyrics | 22 years ago |
Maynard is a lot better than Peach's singer (whos name escapes me), but Justin goes off on this performance, if anyone has seen any video footage from it. I spose that this song is about someone being totally into someone else then having it thrown in his/her face |
| Tool – Spasm Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| Uhh yea not APC. I have a bootlehg of the song live (Get it off Kazaa) and Justin has this Killer wig. | |
| Tool – H. Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| He actually did have Devo before he was married | |
| Metallica – -Human Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| Well I think that it's about slowing down into first gear and putting life into perspective. I guess James life wasout of his control for a while and he had to backup a second and grasp control | |
| Tool – H. Lyrics | 22 years ago |
Ok I aint saying anyone is wrong, it is a personalthing. But here's some things i dug up in various articles. First look is at Maynard’s background. He has a son called Devo. He was christened Devo H Keenen. What the H stands for is unknown, but the song obviously has something to do with his son and/or his birth. The second angle is drawn from many of the Tool concerts. As Maynard is about to start the song, he talks about the old Warner Bros Cartoons. He recounts when the angel and the devil are on each shoulder and tell him to make a decision. Maynard says it’s a no-brainer, as the angel obviously has the right decision. Maynard then snaps back to reality and reminds us that life isn’t always that easy, and that people’s opinions and suggestions aren’t always right or true, so ultimately you should make the decision for yourself. So what if the two theories were combined. Maybe, Maynard was advised to raise his child with some issue, or maybe to have him at all. Ultimately, the song is about making choices for yourself, and how Maynard realised this, and it turned out for the better. |

| Audioslave – Cochise Lyrics | 22 years ago |
Ah first off - This box says "what this song means to you" Not this "How much i love this song" Now back to business. The song title is referring to the Cochise (Ko- Chees) tribe of American Indians. Although they were a small tribe, they believed in defeat surrender rather than violence. Well I don't think the song is directly about that, but draws some similarities. I think Cornell (or a close friend) has been screwed over by someone and hasn't bothered to fight back to avoid further damage |
