COMPUWIZ i do not agree with you on all your topics. The grateful dead are great. I wish i could live in the 60's myself. But what you had wrong is that duh, they did more then just smoke pot in the 60's. Havent you ever heard of the acid wave? well yeah. what do you think started the grateful dead? Yes yes Haight ashbury. and to add to another thing... Dead heads and hippies are completely different. most hippies never wore abudances of tye dye. I am not ashamed to live in this generation, i just wish i could live in the 60s too. There are lots of great bands out there today. Check out, Oysterhead, Donna the buffalo, Phish, Sting Cheese Incident, and The Recipe. all great bands. |

What FIKUS said is completely wrong. Phil Lesh did not even right these lyrics. Robert Hunter wrote the lyrics. Grateful dead songs cannot have a definite meaning. Thats why the songs are wrote like they are. The music is for you deicde the meaning and apply it to your own life. Like jerry once said, "when we're done , The music is yours"
