The irony of this song is that it's probably the most positive song on the album, as he moves on with his life instead of killing someone. Also, RunLikeHell is right. That's a great line. This is a great band.

I love this song. It's one of my all time favorite albums. Unfortunately, the rest of the album is mediocre to poor. I'm not a huge fan of Agoraphobic Nosebleed and the other Converge songs just didn't do it for me. Thank god Jane Doe followed in the footsteps of this song and not the rest of them!

This was my favorite song on this album. It rocks. However, like the rest of the album, it was too bass-heavy. I'm not a big fan of Steve Austin, who mixed this album. I didn't like how he did Bane's "It all comes down to this" either.

For the record, I like Jane Doe as an entire album more than Petitioning the Empty Sky, but The Saddest Day is one of the greatest songs ever, by any band. This song blew me away when I first heard it. It's pretty much the reason I ended up getting the album. I was about ready to give up on Converge after getting "When Forever Comes Crasing" and the Agoraphobic Nosebleed split.

Haha, someone said "Converge", "sing" and "graceful" in the same sentence. On a more relevant note, this isn't just one of Convege's best songs, it's one of *the* best songs. Ever. Period. You should see it live, the entire place explodes, everytime. It's a sight to behold. And for the record, Taking Back Sunday is cool, even if what they've done has been done a million times over, and the Used are also pretty damn good. Converge murders them both of course.

When I grow up, I wanna be a serial killer. Seriously though, BNO is one of the best bands to come around lately. I can't wait 'til their full length comes out on Ferret. "You are my canvas" I've got fucking chills.
