| Depeche Mode – Stripped Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| It just seems to me that Martin Gore has a lot of messed up relationships or rather he thought about how they could go wrong. I love this song! TO me it is about being talked into getting away from everything and giving it all to that person. ALso about letting yourself go, letting the defenses be dropped and being out there, vulnerable to your significant other.. | |

| I read a long long time ago that Martin Gore wrote this song after he read the autobiography of Pricella Presley about her love and devotion to Elvis. I can see how this song can relate to a one-sided relationship, when someone looses themself in the other... it can be tragic. | |
| Pete Yorn – Just Another Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| This song hits so close to home. It is one big contradiction. It also reminds me of this guy I was seeing for like 3 weeks. It seemed like everything was going great, he would say things that were sweet and amazing and then *poof* he just stopped calling. He made me feel like I was this amazing chick and then like I was disposable.. It hurts to listen to Pete Yorn sometimes too bc this guy LOVED Pete Yorn! Saw him when he came to town and hung out with him afterwards... sigh... | |

OMG!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot believe there are NO comments on any of Curve's songs!!!!!!! This is by far the BEST song in the world! I have no clue what it means but i love the uneasiness of it, the chaos.. and Toni's voice is angelic. my favourtie: In the comfort of this room The challenge died Remember you and me We laughed 'til we cried I don't know this just reminds me of my best friend from high school. She and I were outcasts and we really did not give a shit. |

i love this song! i know that we all can relate to this song and have our ideas about it so here are mine. this song seems to be two sided or rather from 2 different views. listening to this song i know that i have been the person who was sending the confusing signals as well as receiving them. to me this song is about a relationship that has reached a fork in the road, you can either go the path of a more serious committment or the other path where you have to end it. i have been with a guy who didn't want to go down either path and after 6 years something has to happen. yeah relationships can suck esp. when one person has grown emotionally and the other hasn't. sometimes i think this song is from the guy p.o.v but then i also can see where it seems to be like a conversation between the girl and the guy. he is remembering back to when they first met, to when it ended and it is comforting to hear the lyric : "you know i miss you" bc all of the times that i still think about my ex and have even missed him i have thought that he never missed me, that guys just don't think that way. "oh, how i dreamed to finally say such things then only to pretend " this lyric just seems to be saying that this guy wanted to be able to be and do the things that the girl wanted but he just couldn't. "a ghost each place i hide" the memories of that person. haven't you ever found it difficult to even drive by a location where you and your ex used to frequent or even just talked about? i hope i am not confusing anyone here but the progression of this song. the way it goes from "should have never started ain't that the way it always ends?" then on to: "so here we are now a sip of wine a sip of water someday maybe maybe someday we'll be smarter" like you went from that "i hate you you broke my heart" to "i'm ok now and hopefully we have both learned from our mistakes so we don't repeat them in our next relationships" i don't know if i have been able to convey what i really think and feel about this song but one thing is for sure i find the lyrics comforting and helpful. and just because one may be the dumpee don't think that the dumper doesn't hurt and agonize and question and feel inscure about the ending of a relationship. *sigh* it seems that i can find some way to relate to just about any Jimmy Eat World lyric esp. if it is written by Jim. did any of this make sense? |
