One thing many people don't know about this song, is that it was written for Duffy's girlfriend before they started going out. The title reflects this, literally! The title of the song, is his girlfriend's name backwords. For those of you who can't figure out what her name is, it's Ariel. |

I think that this is definitely one of the band's best songs. The melody is catchy and the music is amazing. I like how the music is total Thrice style, but the lyrics make it into a love song. Great song! |

well duffy said that this song is about having one foot in god's path, and one foot in the world. I think its pretty much saying to follow gods plan, becase he has a plan for all of us. |

Well basically, duffy told me this " its about people who live life on their own terms, and when it turns out bad, they wonder why, but are too prideful to give it to God". So that is what he was thinking when he wrote it, but everyone can take it into their own terms. |
