| Red Hot Chili Peppers – The Zephyr Song Lyrics | 22 years ago |

Zerostar, I definitly agree with you. The Zephyr skate team started out in a little shop in California that originally made surf boards..... Zephyr boards! These Zephyr boards were extremely well made surf boards that were only the best riders rode (or the ones with $$). The RHCP are from California and they skate and surf... then the lyric "In the water where I center my emotion All the world can pass me by Fly away on my zephyr We'll find a place together " points to the direction of surfing Either way, awesome song |

| Bob Marley and the Wailers – Buffalo Soldier Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| Marley was more then just a a great musician. To the Rastafarian ppl, he was a political figure. One of the main aims of the Rastafarian people is to remind the blacks in America of the shackles that held them down for so many years. "If you know your history, then you would know where your comming from" Marley is trying to remind ppl how important it is to not forget your roots. To the Rasta's Ethiopia is considered the "holy land" The Rastafarian culture is a very young and interesting religion that originated in the 1930's. Most of Marleys songs reflect some of his beliefs and if you learn about the the Rastafarian culture and way of life, the meanings of Marleys songs will become much more clear and powerful. | |
