| It is one of my favorite songs by OLP, It is about how the world is far from prefect, but there is hope is out there. But why would this song be about a guardian angel, because the lyric "we beg, we pray but everything still happens anyway" seems to suggest that God doe'snt answer our prays, and yet the lyric "she appears divine" does suggest that god is there somehow, through the girl. A bit confusing, but still a very awesome song. | |

| It seams like this song is about making a transition from one view on life that this person got sick of, and the hope that they will find in their new view. | |

| The sea could be “time” For a long time he did everything to please someone, and he now wants to know if anything good came out of it, like if he’ll be rewarded for all he did or if he’ll be punished. He used to believe that if he was good then he would get good out of what he put in. But now his faith in this idea faltered, and he dream’s of what could have happened if the person had held up his or her end of the bargain. Time now, calls to him, and now he sees what he has done with the wasted time. He admits he made the wrong choices. He’s gone done this current or path, and now the all the time’s he’s wasted hoping that something good would happen is gone. He now resents whoever did this to him. He does not feel “grace” for this person, but admits to himself and accepts the fact that he wasted so much time. Although this person is so far away and gone from his life, they made their effect on him though the time they took form him, and he still can feel them. | |

| When I hear this song I envision this guy who went to therapy for depression, and he’s all better now. The song is about his memories of depression about what he went through and the way he feels now. His life seamed all gray and monotonous to him. Even though he’s all better its hard for him to not go back to thinking, and starting his old habits “Try to stay sober feels like I’m dying.” He just gave up on life before, like he gave up his dreams. The therapists tell him that he’s all better now “They say its over” and he believes that he’s all better now them. But the key thing here is that he himself hasn’t said he is better, but that someone else has told him. He now understands that life sometimes includes a few bumps in the road, and he’s better prepared to cope with them, and he isn’t sacred of living with this idea that life sucks, because he can just tell himself that “Everything is gonna be fine” | |

To me this song is about someone who is mentally disturbed. Lately I can't breathe Waiting, they're chasing me No one listens but I'm ok with it I think this means something like his disturbed thoughts are chasing him, and he trys to get help, but no one belives him. What if I was scared I'm waiting for... They're at my door But I'll be back again... The people at the door are psychitrists who came to take him away to get help. You wonder why I don't know You shout at me let me go This seams like people see him so sick, and they wonder why, but he cant explain it It ends optimistically because of the line "i'll be back again" He's gone to get help, and he knows he'll come back better. |
