Taken literally, Brett's car veers off a cold icy road, possibly with someone else in the car. Look deeper and I think this song tells the story of a loved one who has passed away. The "white day" that comes once a year is the anniversary of that someone's death.
Or flip it around and this could be a positive song about a couple's anniversary or something along those lines. This song is pretty free to interpretation and I like it that way. It makes your mind wander... |

I can relate to this song on so many levels, it's no wonder it's my favorite song ever. It's almost like Andrew's singing the song of my life, which is really powerful because I know someone else has been through what I have. It's already been said, but this is definitely the only 9+ minute song I've ever heard that is moving, powerful, and flows throughout the whole thing without getting boring. Andrew's depth in his song lyrics for this song is exactly what I strive to do when writing the works I write. |
