| Jana Hunter – K Lyrics

I interpret this as a falling-in-love song. More specifically, the narrator feels frustrated with his/her emotions of attraction towards another and seeks to vent these emotions through music, presumably a mixtape.
Evidence: The line "Mix me with a stereo song" could refer to some association between song and the narrator, such that the feelings of the narrator are expressed to the love interest through the songs he/she puts on the mixtape. More conclusively, the lines "No place to vent this frustration/elation / and I'm pulling all my hair out / So I made this compilation" reference a "compilation," perhaps a mixtape.
As far as the repeating backbone metaphor goes, the backbone could be seen as a symbol of the narrator's love interest, such as "to hold your backbone in my hands" would occur during a hug between the two.
The last thing I noticed is that for the narrator to "see you Saturday afternoon / I'd stick around and go with you to church" creates an ironic contrast between the implied sexuality of spending the night and going to church the next day, Sunday.
This is indeed a strange song, especially from the Jana Hunter cannon. Musically, it is her only song even remotely electro-pop, however, the abstruse lyrics are characteristic of much of her other work. |

| Steppenwolf – The Pusher Lyrics

Everyone seems right on so far discussing this song. To review:
a) banned
b) weed = good, hard drugs = bad
c) awesome to listen to high
Also, anyone who likes this song and hasn't heard the 20-some minute uber-psychedelic live jam version of this song recorded by Steppenwolf when they were still called Sparrow and released later under the title of "Early Steppenwolf" absolutely must. It's a mindfuck. I have the vinyl, but I believe it was released on CD, and some of the other songs like Howlin' Wolf covers are pretty impressive, too. |

Clearly about drug excess. Driven home by the point that he stands "on the mountains of mars" (i.e., tripping balls so hard he's in outer space) and is still "sparking up" (lighting another fatty blunt or somesuch). |

Dinosaurs having sex as a metaphor for living a hedonistic lifestyle of sex, drugs, and rock'n'roll? See, the dinosaurs like Pteranadons, etc. died out unwittingly ("they say we got a lifetime"). I like to think of the song as an ode to living it up, sort of a "carpe diem" for fans of psychedelic rock.
I think this song, like most of their others, is at least implicitly about drugs (evident not only in the incredibly trippy lyrics, but their delivery as well: "god -od -od -d -d d-d-d" [echo]).
I think the lyric for the seventh line ends with "self" not "cell." While this doesn't appear to be any more rational than the former, it sure sounds like that's what Wyndorf's saying, and it surely matches the very egoist themes of virtually all of their songs. Also, I'm pretty sure it's "ancient sun" not "ancient song" below that. |

This song's got a really funky, reggae vibe despite its predominantly electronic nature. While I agree with Freakishfae that this song does have a critical undercurrent, I believe it is a humorous tribute to marijuana culture and "hippies." Sounds great high, though, and it makes me wanna smoke a fatty bowl of the dankest weed every time I hear it. |

| The Smiths – Meat Is Murder Lyrics

this song is good as are most smiths songs, but i seriously can't understand how people are so moved by this song or become vegetarian as a result of it. i am a vegetarian (not for animal rights whatsoever, for health and taste reasons), and even being a vegetarian and knowing how disgusting meat is, why?... ask yourself, why succumb to some stupid moral crusade like meat is murder? good song, however, but its pretty damn funny hearing the cow whine at the beginning and end of the song. oh, and you know the song would've been better if johnny marr had more imput, he can usually more effectively counter morrisey's excessive whining. |

I know, I mean whats up with people not listening to Kovenant? They are, like, the best black-metal band ever. They are just way under-rated and its a damn shame hardly anyone has ever heard of them. At least its good to know some people like them (see above). |

Peace, maaan! This song is trippy and awesome and just fucking rules. Definitely one of their best. Also, the lyrics printed here are incorrect in a couple of places, like it says 'I sold a hundred hits to a hundred kings' instead of 'heads', and it also says 'Peace is what you get from the time of stone age' instead of 'chemical change'. There are more, but I won't take the trouble to find them. Peace! |

Listen to the song closely and towards the end there is a riff that they repeat a couple of times at the climax of the song that Papa Roach stole from them and made into their song Last Resort, which blows, and the only reason it is good is because they are actually playing Iron Maiden. Those assholes! (and their music sucks, too!) |

Probably my favorite Rhapsody song, its damn awesome between being power-metal with great melody, and the chorus and mid-evil influences make this song so damn cool. Extremely original! |

I fell absolutely in love with Opeth just three days ago, and bought all six of their albums and have listened to them all non-stop since, and so far this is my absolute favorite Opeth song, because, as you all said, it is relaxing. Still black-metal, though, of which I am a huge fan of, and it almost sounds like a really depressing version of a Seals and Crofts song done by a black-metal band. Dirge for November is another awesome song though, and you all should check it out if you liked this one... |

This is the best song ever, although "Sweet Dreams" and "Scabs, Guns and Peanutbutter" comes oughly close... KMFDM is a genius band. Its bands like this that should gang up just to rape people like Brittney Spears and Christina Augilera and then kill those big-breasted whores!!! |

| Ozzy Osbourne – Suicide Solution Lyrics

I agree that 'jerk-offs' shouldn't blame Ozzy for the song Suicide Solution and their kid's deaths, but the song does carry an extremely subliminal message besides the death of that AC/DC dude having to do with the promotion of suicide. At approximately 2:09 in the song Ozzy says "get a gun", even though it sounds like "you got it", and then "what?... what?... take the gun and aim" and then another persons voice says "shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot" which is easily mistaken for "choo, choo, choo, choo, choo, choo, choo, choo" (like the singing of the song's beat). Its not Ozzy's fault that those dumb-ass kids killed themselves, but this song does contain a subliminal message to kill one's self. |
