Well I always assumed this was an anti-drug song...but you bring up a good point with STDs. But then I fiigured the two go hand in hand. Both things maybe...getting STDs because of sharing needles and/or unprotected sex due to bad decisions while under the influence. And yes I agree...Ram it up your poop-chute is the best line ever. I think hes referring to getting high using a suppository there. |

I don't see how this song is a rewrite of Don't Fear the Reaper...but I do agree...they did get a little poppish after the Agents of Fortune album. But the other songs on Fire of Unknown origin are still pretty baddass and not really "stadium rock". I did read that one of the guys in the band...I frogot who...said they tried to go for a more pop-like sound around this time though. He went on to syay they didn't like it at all. They may have sold out for a while...but in the end they say they prefer the way they played in the begining. Not that it matters....they kind of faded out of popularity after this song. They're now content with playing small venues constantly....on tour forever like the dude said up there. And as for this songs meaning...I think its been said already....just a song about life on the road. |

I don't know man. Devin is my fucking hero. I saw him in concert and it was godly. I agree with Advent up there....he is definatly one of the most talented musicians today. And this song is the song that got me into his music actually. Bueatiful song. |
