i think this song is about death and someone close to you dying. recently my best friend died and i was listening to the cd and the lyrics stand so true to how i was feeling. you can't sleep at all and you hate the night time cause you know you won't be able to sleep "how long is the night... i will never sleep again" and it talks abotu the night being colored in crimson. and also when he writes "But the day was so bright in the pictures In the photo album that you gave me It's all I have to live for. I'm falling down And you're not here to break my fall" i think that is about memories and how that person is gone. they are not there anymore for you to turn to and the only thing you have left of them are the pictures of them. when it says but the day was so bright in the photographs.. its all i have to live for i think he is talkign about how everything used to seem ok adn knowing that someday things will be ok again is what you have to live for. also the line about the train refers to death, saying the change machine lied cause death is on its way and you can't stop it... that is just how i interpreted the lyrics which can mean something different to everyone. |
