| I think the song is about someone who wants to commit suicide but has some reservations. It's like they want to go through with it, but whenever they have the noose around their neck, they realize how long forever really is. But when they don't go through with it, they always feel like they should have gone through with it and that suicide is always in the back of there mind (forever is such an unpleasant word, it begins to eat you / from the inside out , beg for sleep, as the noose is tied around your neck). But if the person lives, it seems that they want to live with this depression/suicidal feeling (change means nothing when nothing wants to change). Also the line "my wings have yet to work" could imply an angel and how it may not be his time yet for him to get his "wings". Just a thought. | |

I think it's about someone conflicted on whether to kill themselves or not. It seems like the persons wants to die, but realizes once the deed is done, it's forever. (forever is such an unpleasant word). But on the other hand, they want to live even if they don't know what to do with themselves or how to handle life (change means nothing when nothing wants to change). Also, it seems that the person keeps wanting to live but the thought of suicide is always in the back of his mind (forever is such an unpleasant word it begins to eat you / from the inside out beg for sleep as the noose is tied around your neck) |
