Wow, first comment on this excellent song. My take on this song is that the singer / songwriter is just under so much pressure from life in general that he is coming to a breaking point. Hence this "I'll tear this all apart". He is getting to the point where he cannot stand it anymore. It could be about a relationship between a man and a woman. I love this song, i definitley know what he is going through. I suggest going out and buying the album Exit 674. There is a lot of good songs on the album. |

This Longing seems to be a fan favourite. It's about the same theme and idea the runs through every song on the album. It's about just living to drift from day to day without knowing whats out there for us, or what awaits us in the afterlife, or how to even live life. That's what being 'in the dark' means. And trying to figure it all out takes "from your breathe" meaning, its tireing and hard to do. The endless longing is that feeling to really want to discover why were here and what gives purpose to our lives and wait awaits us when we die...if anything. It's something that I was plagued with for a very long time, and I'm not sure I'll ever not be. |
