That's a pretty cool idea, I hadn't thought of that. I haven't heard this track since around the time I posted that last thing. I'm far less irritating now. Let me think of an analysis on the spot... Okay, I still think I'm right. It is about suicide and the angel is the bullet. The mouth of a scared little girl is the muzzle of the gun. The elevator music of songs that she shouldn't hear is just a continuation of the metaphor. I'm only really writing this in case forbidden comes back and thinks I'm cool and tries to talk to me. |

I think the negro bitches should accept that they will always be pieces of meat and should stop howling about it. It's more like if it's not on MTV it's crap. Which is depressing for me because all the music I have ever owned has been crap. I like crap music. Crap music is much better than good music and this song is SO crap. I love the child death and ratfest dancing and stuff. This is clearly about the pied piper. I think he's well good. Much love there then. The cúnts said they'd pay him to get rid of the rats but instead they poked him in the eye so he went off to nick their kids and feed them to the rats. I like rats. I hate kids. Go rats. D&W are by far the most talented band around right now. Unfortunately I don't think they tour because Iced earth and Blind Guardian anre all busy making beauty elsewhere. All the lazy europeans who decided German wasn't important. Well, you'll all think again when the krauts jump out at us with their secret army. Yeah, humans are the plague of the planet, god hates them, he's all sad about it. Plus he's completely insane because his most loved creation have turned against him and we're heading to another ice age. It will be a bitter harvest of a dying bloom. A foul disease has stained the land and we're heading into the gallows everytime we expand. I think that's what he's talking about. Humans need culling. I think we should pick a hemisphere at random to bomb to death and start again. This is arguably the best song by D&W.. the only other competition comes from Fiddler on the Green but I think this is better. The contrast between the droning, wavering first verse and when Hansi's voice breaks in, showering anger and power over it's listeners.. It gives you a great rush. Along with Fiddler on the Green it is the most emotional song they have done. Only a few by Blind Guardian come close. |

I wanted to be the first on here to come up with that theory but if you heard it from someone else I guess I am :) go me! I thought it was about a car crash: 'A trick of light turned red into green' and '..her body smashed...' but it didn't sound a lot like Blind Guardian, Iced Earth or D&W so I wasn't sure. Theer are more than six million people in london right now.. but that's about the only thing that Frau Eva said that i disagree with. Elaborate vocabularies don't mean there is intelligence, just education. Some of the cleverest people use the most simple words. It's just when you try to be clever that you miss the point of the songs. You're too enveloped in your own delusional brilliance that you think you're an authority figure.. which ultimately puts you in the same league as God. Marilyn/Brian don't hate god as such they just think he's a prick, and i agree. He exists in people's minds whether he is a being or not, and People can either think that everything good that happens to them is an act of god, or that everything bad is god slacking. The point remains whether he exists in a neutral plain or just in peoples' heads, The idea is real, and people can hate ideas as much as they can hate something physical. "Dear god if you were alive you know we'd kill you" This, in my opinion is Marilyn Manson saying that IF God is something physical, and not just in people's heads, it would be possible to express the hatred towards him by killing him. ..And the angel is a bullet and the little girl's mouth is the barrel... I'm in a hostile mood.. It's not meant to be beautiful it's about suicide - not the most beautiful thing. If any of you have ever seen the body of a suicide victim you'll know it's not a beautiful thing, especially if they shot themselves in the head. The purple/blue blotchy skin (not pale like a lot of ideas) and the dark brown blood, grey brain tissues over the wall.. Suicide is selfishness, though i understand it completely. And i'm in no way ignorant of the subject. My point is, Marilyn Manson want you to begin to comprehend the want and the need for some people to end their lives. The person in this song I think is Marilyn, or Brian or whatever you want to call him, not a girl, though i can see where you get that idea. He obviously thinks seriously about suicide - a lot of people do - and he wants people to choose between fearing him or understanding him. Either way he's getting what he wants. He's a lyrical genius and a very clever man, but not a role model. Just a theory ~T~ |

This song is amazing.. one of the best they've written, but I can't pick a favourite from such great songs. I think this has little to do with vampires and more to do with how he lost his faith in god when his true love was killed. I know loads of examples of this. Well, I've scanned through all the entries, and the closest anyone's come to my theory is Sysys' comment about sex... This song sounds like child abuse. I don't want to go into too much detail - if you reread it now you might see it that way - but it sounds like the lasting effects of someone who was sexually abused as a child by somebody close to them. And that sux. But it is a great song, and evokes all kinds of emotions. I think Tool are the most genuine band in a long time, and this wasn't just for ratings. Just a theory. ~T~ |

I think this song points out te fact that we are all born dying, and whether or not there is a god waitng for us, the person who tis is for is compromising their faith because of some loss that has occurred. And pride is the barrier between the believer and the belief. It's almost saying that god exists, but he's a bastard. This song gives me the feelings of tingling that you get when you know you're hearing a very powerful song. Most of the music on this album is 'music you'd fight to', but this is more like the music you listen to after the battle. | |
