This song is problably one of if not the best on A Mark, A Mission, A Brand, A Scar. I think "thetroutscout" has the best guess to what this song is about. But the lyrics are still beutiful just like all of his songs. So much passion in em. Chris rocks

This song rules! It's the only all acoustic song on A Mark, A Mission, A Brand, A Scar, and i wish he has come more on there, but whatever. And i agree, it's a PAIN to sing. I was thinkin about playin this one at a coffee shop, but i'd have to belt it to hit some of the stuff he does. This song is such a laid back acoustic, it's so tight. Chris rules.

This song tells a tight story. I just don't understand the whole thing with it bein' on the Shrek II sound track and it not being in the movie...ok. This so is so fun. It's got so many different styles of guitar in the song, from the soft part of "i'll be true, i'll be usefull, i'll be cavalier" so the more up beat "this is easy as lovers go, so don't complicate it be hesitating." Good song.

I agree with the others. It's just like Bitter Pill off of the album 'The Places You Have Come To Fear The Most'. This song is so over looked and yet it's the most emotional and most powerful. Chris puts sooo much feeling into songs like this one. And yah, it isn't so much a "dashboard" style song, but the way the song is portrade is still as Dash as ever. Rock on Chris.

This song is totally money! This song was basically written around a crazy harmonic note that Teppei's guitar made every time i touched the strings. The lyrics are based off of a short story by Al Burian in his book "Burn Collector". They said it took about 800 leads until they finally had the right one, and now the song rules! Thrice breaks em all down.

I agree with OwnPersonalDemon, this song is pretty starightforward. I love the lyics he uses! "I sit here clutching useless lists and keys for doors that don't exist i crack my teeth on pearls i tear into the history just show me what it means to me in this world." These are some of the best lyrics i've heard! Everything about this song is PERFECT! Especially since they wrote it off of the bass line, which isn't easy to do.

For those of you who don't know, this song is about the Greek myth of the boy and his dad who were in prison, and his dad made him wings of wax, and told him not too fly too close to the sun. He forgot his dad's warning and took off anyways, the lyrics "Climb to the heavens on feathers and dreams, because the melting point of wax means nothing to me" are TOTALLY gorgeous. Awesome song!

I agree with LiLsMiL. This song sounds exactly like Dashboard. It's still a really really good song. I just think that Dashboard Confessional has a claimed style that no one can copy unless you're Chris' twin. Great song but find your own style.

This song rocks! Relient K is so awesome because to be a Christian band you must also live it. I'm in a Christian band and i know that sometimes it's hard to stand for Christ in the midst of a secular world but if it's God's will you can. This cd is their best one. These guys have fun with their music and that's so awesome.
