gosh... this album is up in my all-time top 5... i couldn't live without it... this song in particular strikes a chord in me.. just the way the music's arranged... especially the part "the smell of [something] has left you lost again" or something... and then it goes into that chugging part... freak yeah! \m/ |

definitely epic... the whole last 3 minutes of the song gives me the chills... from where he sings "you're another coat of red in hell"... all the way to "on a concrete road to recovery" part... geebus.. also where he sings "you were never the one to slip away-ee-yay"... amazing part |

effin great this is one of the most underrated hopesfall song... even though there's really no need for that buildup at the beginning... it has to be the biggest hype-machine i've ever heard in a song... and it just leads into some normal song line... when i hear a buildup, i demand a really effin' hard-hitting part to follow.. haha |

this IS my favorite song on this record... PURE genius... the whole ending is just mind-blowing... this song takes me back to the end of last summer... when i got the hopesfall sampler from furnace fest and it had this and Waitress on it... and i'd listen to both of 'em repeatedly... good times.. when i think of "infatuations best kept secret"... i think of like... being so fixated on someone and you love them like crazy, but you cannot work yourself up to tell them... and it kills you inside.. so bad that you have to write a song about it... this new Josh guy on vocals is just purely amazing.. he has the vocal range Doug didn't have... even tho i thought Doug was great too... |

fatmike: if you're talking about the first soft part... he just says "please... PLEASE".. .lol... tho i do see where you get the "failing to escape" thing.. that'd actually be a really cool line... this is probably my favorite on the record next to The Bending... that very last line "because you feel NOTHING"... that part gives me the chills... it's so emotional indeed |

| yep... i'm actually going through this song right now... i was only in a four-week relationship... but like, the unthinkable pretty much happened. One of my good friends that i introduced to her started talking to her online alot, and started liking her.. and he said all this stuff to her like "i like you.. i want to be with you" and crap behind my back. My girlfriend told me pretty much everything he said to her.. and every single night of that last week we went out, i was just constantly upset... and then she decided to take a break from me because both me and that dude were confusing the hell outta her... then two days later, her and that dude hung out... and he kissed her.... now, they're going out. Even though i've been done beyond wrong... i'm trying to be friends with her... and it's kind of working... we're really close friends now. But the crappy thing is, that dude, who's now her boyfriend, gets pissed off every time me and her hang out. I put this wonderful song on her mix tape... along with "siberian kiss" by glassJAw... which also described my situation | |
