i love this song... to me this song is about how he trusted someone and they completely broke his trust just for their own sick pleasure... and now he has these hidden insecurites with the issue of trust and it is keeping him from having relationships with people bc he just expects them to hurt him... thats just what i hear when i listen to this amazingly introspective song... very cool |

i love this song i completely relate to it... one time i talked on the phone with my would be boyfriend had we not lived 4-5 hours away from each other and we talked about the distance and how hard it is on both of us bc we need to be together but we are so busy and stuff like that... anyway i turned on my cd player when we got off the phone and this song was the first to come on... i cried myself to sleep that night... the story is that we met and fell in love only to get torn away from each other after a brief 48 hours together and as of right now it has been 3 mos of ups and downs in our relationship... i havent seen him since i met him but i love him just as much as i did then... i know if he lived closer, even an hour away... we would be together for a long long time... i think this song was written about a relationship like ours.. you can hear the passion and sadness in his voice... dashboard is amazing |

you guys are gay for arguing over what emo is and isnt... just call it what you wish and get over it... and can you please talk about the song instead of yelling at each other about whether its emo or not... i have an opinion but i dont care enough to share and get someone who disagrees to freak out on me and tell me how wrong i am... i love this song because it is raw emotion and its what he is feeling... that is art... art imitates life and he obviously understands that... this is how he chooses to express himself and i love that about dashboard confessional... chris is extremely talented and i think that is how all music should be |
