This song is amazing. Bazan's lyrics are always awesome. The thing that makes the song for me is the acoustic acompaniment. It just fits the mood of the song so well. I kind of wish he would have stayed with the acoustic guitar and drums style instead of fully "plugging in" like on control. I'm no hippy, but i think the more minimalist style of "hard to find.." and "winners never quit" fit his songs better. I'm probably wrong though |

This is my fav pedro the lion song off of my favorite pedro the lion album(it's hard to find a friend). The words to this song epitomize loneliness and the worry that you will spend the rest of your life alone. Yes it's quite a sad song, but I'm into that. if you can appreciate an honest expression of emotion(particualrly sadness), you will love this song |

Does anybody else think that older pre-vagrant hot rod circuit is better? I sure as hell do. this is my favorite song off of "if i knew.." LP. It just seems to be the perfect song to listen to as your driving home at 3 a.m. I'm just pissed that having seen them 3 times, they never played this song live. |

This song is beyond great. There are about a billion and seven songs about a girl ignoring you, but this one blows the rest away. The lyrics sum up that feeling so very explicitly. Beautiful song. |

It's an awesome song undoubetdlly, easily the best on the EP. I think it's more of a song about taking stock of your life and realizing how little you've accomplished. to me it represents defeat, but i could be reading into it because i started listening to it after a bad year. |
