The Who – Baba O'Riley Lyrics 22 years ago
I agree with Nicole, I hate it when people call this song "The Teenage Wasteland Song" and I've heard it many times. I too saw Pearl Jam cover this song in Phoenix on June 7. It was great! I think I read somewhere that The Who is Eddie Vedder's favorite band, but I'm not sure about that. PJ does play it awesome, but nothing compares to the real deal!

I think the "female" cover you guys are speaking of is by the Sundays. Their cover of this song was played during the last scene of the Buffy episode called "The Prom" from season 3. I must say, this song and Dead Flowers are my 2 favorite Stones songs. Great song. I think I agree with what has already been said about it.

This and Wild Horses are my two favorite Stones songs. I think this song is about someone who changed, like now they think they're better than a former lover or someone like that. But the two still kind of have a connection. I don't know, I'm probably wrong.

The Rolling Stones – Like a Rolling Stone (Bob Dylan cover) Lyrics 23 years ago
Actually the Stones DID cover this song. I can't remember what album it's on or if it's even on an album, but they covered it. In fact when I saw the Stones a couple months ago, they played it.

I don't think it's about breaking up. It says stuff like clumsy time, lose yourself in your courage and asking if you still feel the butterflies. To me it's almost like he's not sure to make a big move or not. And mindless comfort growswhen I'm alone with my great plan sounds like he's tring to find the best way to make his move. And when the big hand goes round again, I think it's him saying time keeps passing me by and I still haven't done anything. Also, the title can't possible mean breakup. Come on, For Me, This is Heaven. Is breakup Heaven for anyone who's making statements like he is in the song? Nope.
