The very first song I ever heard by Cold. I saw this video the summer between my 8th and 9th grade year (aka 1998). It was unreal. The video was crazy wicked with all these scary lookin lil kids running around. Scooter wore a cowboy hat or something and you couldn't see his face. I was enamoured with this. It was so hardcore. I feel in love with cold and picked up this cd a year later at the only damn store I had seen it at. The Virgin Megastore in Grapevine, TX. To me this song is also about drug addiction of some kind. The person on the drugs has fallen into madness "everyone could see your madness slip". This person can't stop using the drugs and they begin to freak out even more. People around have 'seen enough' and force the person away. Oh, I also like at the very end, if you listen close you can hear Scooter say "FUCK YOU PIECE OF SHIT!" |

Not enough comments on this song. At one point this was my favorite song on the cd. First song I ever heard was "Go Away" and then this. Great song. Yeah, the meaning is easy. |

This song is mad hard to understand. I love the bridge though. It's the "easiest" part to get. What I get from it (and i'm most likely wrong, but this is what it makes me think of), is that he and someone else, perhaps many others, have been terribly cruel to someone or a group of people. After treating the person like shit for so long, he regrets what he's done and how it is hurting his life. Kinda makes me think of how I was mad ass mean to people in high school, and looking back, I feel bad. |

Dude, this song just rocks. I always try to find meaning in songs, but this song, I say fuck it. It's so fuckin awesome without reading deeper. Is it just me or do the drums kick ass too? Maybe cuz I'm a drummer, but still....damn, best part of the song there. |

Yeah, I'm really upset that they haven't been better recieved. People dont know what they are missing. To me though, this song is about a girl who I simply could not have. We met one summer and the week of our lives together. After that great week though, we both had to go back to our hometowns. I was only 17 and she was 5 hours away. I wanted to make it work desperately("thinking there's a way this could turn out right"), but she had to live her life. We stayed in touch, but nevertheless, we never got our chance. I'm off to college now and she is still at home. She's my friend and I tell her "dont worry 'bout me", but it makes me wonder what could have been. |

I think all Stabbing Westward fans are Stabbing Westward fans because we can all relate to Chris Hall's lyrics. Almost every single song is touching in some way. Granted, there are a few that we just wanna rock out to, but then you have songs like this and others on the last cd that make you feel something deep down. I personally love Angel and all the SW songs. WHY DID THEY HAFTA BREAK UP!? |
