meaning.. "lewis hollow" is sort of like a place or a person that you really like or have a crush on. that's what the "who's turning red" is about. wanting to impress the girl/guy. |

It's called "World Waits" and before that a looong time ago he released a solo album called "Return of the Frog Queen" and then he was also in another band called the Fire Theft.
I just saw him a few nights ago. Seriousily one of the best shows I've ever been to. He was playing alone (wanted to do something different on this tour), which I thought I wouldn't dig - but man did that prove me wrong - it was a lot better. I mean it's just him and he switches from playing songs on piano to playing songs on guitar - and his voice just shines. this is a great start to the album.
but to be honest circa's lyrics confuse me a bit. all you can do is give your interpretation i guess music will forever be mysterious to what the writers actually meant... unless they tell us. even then it's like the mystery of the song meaning is ruined, so i think i like things better this way. |

I guess some lyrics are "overtly Christian" but I think the general idea is still something I can relate to a lot... out of respect he says "Lord" and "God" more often than he just says "Jesus" so he won't be speaking to one religion |

This song is very underrated (as well as wind-up). Anyway, I think it's really nice that he wrote this for that person... I can't believe they were so young (7) when all that happened. My favorite part of the song is the ending and the music in the background when "The cadence beats down on the tar.. It sounds the same as your fists.." It matches with it like the sound of someone hitting someone. |

yes, "Love is love" is a Frail lyric. Thursday decided to include that because it's a remembrance, an echo of the thing that was shared between him and a friend who killed himself. the last conversation they had was about how everyone is so focused on romantic love and didn't seem to care about love in general and compassion towards people who are unlike you. I think that's a great message and it makes most people look pathetic that all they care about is their significant others. |

you left out one of my favorites.. "Researchers suggest talk is poison." i am really in love with thursday. i think one day people will look back and say "that band has really made a positive change in the world" if theyre not already saying that. but i just feel that there are a lot of fans out there that just like thursday just to rock out but dont really notice the lyrics too much. i dont want to say im opposite. i think im even, but i definitely love a band if they amaze me with their lyrics. it could even be a band as simple as eisley... i like the mood they put me in making me feel like im off into a magical world when they sing about tree tops and fairies and the like. actually everyone always says fairies but i dont think any of their songs directly mention fairies. maybe metaphorically. anyway i better shut up now before this turns into a comment about them, but if youre reading this you must know this band..they are unlike anything.

this song really helped me when i think im totally alone and on my own and that "im the only one" feeling. and even when people who like the same music as you don't make you feel welcome..other stupid people in school who follow trends and look towards only ones who are dressed just like them and make friends with them, whatever it's their lose that they dont talk to ME, also their loss because they look stupid trying to be cool, and all i can think is how it's a shame we dont talk because we share similar interests in music but we dont talk.
i just wanted to say that if anyone else felt like that. it's nice to know someone else understands.
and what it all comes down to is friends are everywhere, and anyone can become friends. so cliques are just..gross! |

when i first heard this song as it blared in my ears as track 12 i was like "woaaah. nice start.." where the sound is just really strong in the beginning. the lyrics are so beautiful, but what thursday song isn't?

when i saw them perform this song, i couldn't get out of my head this: "at the top of this timeline you'll remember. this is the lipstick on the collar. and in my own life i've seen it in the mirror..sometimes at the cost of others hopes!" i kept replaying that over and over again days after.
and definitely the ending part "everything you say, you stole..every dream you dream, you bought" gets you thinking. we learn and grow by what we see around us and from the people we are most around. and all the dreams we have are from objects that..shit i give up here lol. you get my point! :)

my site is named after this song, not that anyone cares. i really like the "the way in is the same way out. the way up is the same way down. now there is no safe way down." i get so jealous of their writing sometimes haha. and "we'll all look the same someday" is repeated often throughout the whole album of course, i think it's one of the most important things said on there, not that anything is unimportant. but it reminds us that in all actuality, just as we look the same in general (being humans), we are the same too. no one's better than the other. no one's more fascinating than you are. |
