i can't believe there are so little posts for this song. this is probably the best song on the cd! there are so many great lines in this song and it sounds so good. -i shot the pilot, now i'm begging you to fly this for me -but how could i miscalculate? perfect eyes will have perfect hate it's a great song, but i have to disagree with singer 4 twolves. i don't see this as romantic. it's hating to love someone. |

| This song can't be about anything but drug use. junkSTAR69 explained it pretty well. "I'm looking like a fool again. I threw away my reputation" He took some drugs at a party, looked like an ass, and figures some people think less of him now. I really like the part that goes "Mommy and Daddy's got the best cocaine, Ritalin's never gonna feel the same, twenty four hours on an empty brain, I got my finger on the trigger and you're in my way" The reason this part perticular is so great is because it goes so slow and creepy. The hypnotic melody combined with the dark lyrics are so different from the rest of the song. | |

Hmm...this song always reminded me of a guy I know. He had this girlfriend that he loved and she loved him back..but then I wanted him as more than a friend. "It happened too fast to make sense of it. To make it last" And everyone was telling me to forget about him because he was unattainable, but I never listened.. "Not asking of me anything, saying nothing about what it means, without anybody telling me what I should feel" That's always what the song meant to me. And that's why this song is so great. A million people could listen to it and get something different out of it. |

Ah...a teenager in love. This is a good song because I can relate to it so well. If you can't relate to it you're not and never were a teenager. And if you should say goodbye, I'll still go on loving you When you're a teenager in love (ha) you feel like your first love is your last and you'll never get over it. That's why this song is so great. It's honest and you don't know you can relate to it until you realize you can't relate to it anymore...that makes no sense but I think you get what I mean. |

I love this song. It's so different and it sounds like it would be something you would hear on Broadway. Maybe it's about Las Vegas. There seems to be so many references in this song about Vegas. the clock still says it won't be long till all your hard earned money's gone And then there is the prostitute reference. Prostitutes are legal in Vegas.Tourist references...and it just sounds like Las Vegas. The trumpet in there...I don't know. |

This song is responsible for me becoming a Jimmy fan. I heard it and was blown away. The first time I heard it a very clear picture of wht it meant was in my head. First I read the title and that with the lyrics made me think of this whole story where there's this boy who loves this girl and he wants to watch these fireworks with her (actual fireworks, yes, but it's going somewhere...). She doesn't love him. And all he wants is to be with her (watch the fireworks) no matter how long it takes to get her (no matter how late he has to stay up). Also, I think this girl was his first love (I've been here before but only by myself). Or, the girl loves him back but is scared because he is her first love too (here you can be anything, and I think that scares you). That's just the way I always saw it. |

"dancing in plastic shake-up snow" I love this line. The plastic shake-up snow is that fake snow in snow globes. You shake the snow globe and it snows. I just really like the line. But my favorite line would have to be "what you ignore is priceless to me." I can realte so well. |
