but I know a lot of people who love OAR and I only know of one radio station, around NY at least, that ever plays their songs. And they've only started since this CD came out and they sold out madison square garden.
anyone else think this is one of the most annoying songs they have by the way? |

I first heard this a couple years ago, they used this as an intro to their usual live Hey Girl intro, I loved it then and was kind of surprised to hear it on this CD |

this is possibly my favorite recording of any song, ever. going to see them the end of this week and i can not wait! (i'm giving up mlb playoff tickets for them!) they were awesome last time i saw them so i know it will totally be worth it!
there are lots of songs that really put my in a good mood when i hear them, but none compare to this one |

in vh1 behind the music, steve tyler said that he wrote it when he was 17, out on a lake at his parents' vacation spot in vermont, which is where he later met joe perry and tom hamilton |

in vh1 behind the music steve tyler said the lines
Ya callin' my name, but I gotta make clear
I can't say baby where I'll be in a year
were written specifically to Joe's first wife and that he honestly can not say that about most lines of any song he's ever written.
They meant he couldn't say where he'd be because it was hopefully as far away from her as possible. |

I dont know if anyone said this already but the chorus is actually whiskey IN Rye, not and. I think i remembee reading this in an interview with Don McLean himself, that there was a bar called the Levee and it moved (the levee was dry-ie no alcohol) to a town called Rye in NY. |
