KoЯn – Wicked (feat. Chino Moreno) (Ice Cube cover) Lyrics 23 years ago
"'Cause I get Wicked! I sikemonmeh keep on their fire
Yes I Wicked! I told em ekeh eimnon their fire
Yes I Wicked! I tech emon they kimnon their fire
But necko seemo wase, so I keemnon your fire "

Call me crazy, I thought it was :
Cause I get wicked, somebody oughta kick up the volume.
I'm wicked, somebody oughta kick up the volume.
......
Now I'm in your face, so I'm gonna keep up the volume...

along those lines at least.

Just something else to think about.

Quote:"The part about "All my friends are gone, they died" I imagine is about the person's friends who also got pushed to the edge but decided to jump instead of fight back..in other words, committed suicide or lost themselves in depression and anger"

People are usually made fun of because they are different. Perhaps his friends finally caved in and changed to fit the mold. Humans are social animals, so it's almost natural to exclude those who are different. In some way, we feel since they are different, they are not "helping" the contiuation of the species. Extremely basic and scientific I know, just a thought though. Once again, I don't necessarily believe all songs are concrete in their meaning. In their raw form, they are poetry, and how many of the great poems have you read that had one specified meaning that was printed plainly on the page?

I think people need to let the song speak to themselves. Yes, there is the original concept of what the artist intended, but a truly great song will have a different, significant meaning to everyone who listens.

With the monkey issue, I haven't really seen anybody point out the obvious. This person has a monkey on their back (the bully). He puts the monkey up against the wall, so now the monkey (bully) has nowhere to go. I speak from experience, I had someone who was three times bigger than me who would always thump my ears, make fun of me, and just make my life a general hell. One day I was just fed up, I turned around and threw a punch. It may not have hurt, but he didn't mess with me anymore. I threw the monkey against the wall and turned the tables. Also, another view on the gibberish: Have you ever been so mad, so hurt that you just scream? You just run off crazy thoughts and words? The rant comes at the climax of the song, the subject of the song just breaks, and things start turning around. Remember Twist? Supposedly there are "lyrics" for this song, but I've always just seen it as JD venting. When I'm listening/jamming this song and letting it flow through me and push out the hurt and hate, I just scream "jabberwocky"...I know it doesn't make sense, but if you put it in the song, the rythm of it fits. Sometimes, it's best to just see the world from your own eyes, and not put so much stock into what others see.
