i think people have read this song wrong. in a lot of their songs, good charlotte sing about not appreciating life, or not realising that they are living life RIGHT NOW, so they're missing out on all this great stuff. i think this is saying that finally when they're going, they're realising what they've done, and finally appreciating life to it's fullest. maybe i'm wrong, but i prefer too look at it in a half full way, not half empty. and as for ripping apart good charlotte, get a life and don't bother commenting if you don't like the band. |

| okay, i'm with an earlier comment! i remember reading brandon saying that on a tour he feel asleep on the tour bus on his ... pinkie i think, and basically he got totally freaked out, because he thought he had killed the nerves in his hand, because the feeling didn't come back for about three weeks. but the thing is, i think the meaning goes deeper cause he also mentioned that he got really freaked out and convinced himself he had lost feelings in his hand. so i think, along with this, he's trying to say that once you get yourself worked up to an idea, it can take over you. though i really have no idea. i think meaning is in the way you perceive it to be. | |

incubus are heaps better live - like, 300 times better than they sound on the cd. the cd doesn't compare. this isn't typical incubus, but it's still hell good. i think the lyrics are right in saying "plain". i don't think it's "blanket". it's a good song, not a surprise that incubus realeased it first from morning view, cause it's a crowd pleaser. |

i think it's about a relationship where she means more to him than he means to her. he feels so much for her, but she doesn't want to give, because she is too scared or too selfish. i think the "mexico" bit means that, "i'm getting you out of my life". freaking brilliant song. one of the best on morning view - they should release it. it's so beautiful. i think it can also have to do with a friend though, not just a relationship. one of my friends is like this, doesn't consider any one elses feelings no matter what you say. this song was a PERFECT example of how i was feeling. it's so beautiful |

during a very large fight with a friend, i got the incubus morning view cd, and i was already a bit fan of science and make yourself. i listened to this song, and didn't like it. then i listened to the lyrics, and i love it. i reckon this song is about a person who's been betrayed by someone, a friend/lover, and now both of them are simply acting politely to eachother despite how they feel. i have never heard anything as descriptive as "seeing you is like pulling teeth, and hearing your voice is like chewing tin fooooil". i mean, damn that's good writing, and it happened to pick exactly how i felt. i love this song. it's some good incubus, mainly with such brilliant lyrics. |
