Great song, I think he is tired of the control over him. Kind of like his parents, their abusive and he feels they don't give a shit about him. So why do they bother. He feels maybe his life is a waste of time. Just going through the motions day after day. No happiness, no feelings, nothing. A zombie. |

This is one of the best songs I have heard in a long time. That said here is my thought. I believe that the person to a leap of faith, against all odds and is happy with his decision to fly from the inside. He broke out of his mold and is determined to make it. Sometimes he feels the strain of it all, but he wouldn't have it any other way. I have no regrets and I'm just making my way and I'm gone. Sounds like a good way to live life. |

I believe that the young man's life is crashing down around him, sent away for a priceless gift could refer to a child. A non-planned pregnancy and he feels that his life is over, which per se it is because of the child. You give up everything for you child so your life ends only to be dedicated to them and their success. I don't believe he is truly killing himself it's a metaphor of his life ending when the child is born and he really seems torn between the situation. Just my thought. Great song. |
