Even though I totally acknowledge you and your friend's long hours analyzing this song, the revision you submitted isn't exactly right. Instead of "I'll feed myself/I'll clear the shelf/and kill the shame", it's "I'll feed myself/or clear this shelf/and kill for shame". I just now started understanding these lyrics, since I haven't listened to the song in a little while. I now have a slightly different perspective on this wonderfully written song. |
