i absolutely love this song. though, to tell you the truth, i think it's kind of gross that most (emphasis on most) of you are whimpering and whining on about how "sensitive" brandon boyd is and what not...but dude, despite the fact that the lyrics are awesome...what about the music? the music is just as amazing as those lyrics. and brandon boyd is my favorite singer/artist, he is incredibly talented, but he isn't a god, as much as most of us would like to think he is.
anyway, enough of that...this song to me is a love song...though to me, it's a bit ambiguous because to different people it mean a break up or a being gone song. to me, it is usually "being gone" and being away from somebody loved. it's very sweet, very sad. i love it. |

this song is just awesome. when i first heard it, i was like, what the hell is this? it was just totally weird. to me it is about the ideal life--the life we are expected to live, as happier people. but as the song goes, and in the computerized, monotonous voice of the computer, you can tell that that ideal life is unachievable because it isn't all that it's cracked up to be, that in truth it isn't the ideal lifestyle, it's the lifestyle people want and expect you to live because it leaves you emotionless and therefore not human. |
