I know what I've seen several comments about this being about Taylor and it obviously is b/c John came out in an interview and said, "if someone wants to write songs they can interpret it however THEY want." Obviously that comment was another jab at Taylor. In the song that Taylor and John sang together it is called "Half of My Heart." Nobody has mentioned this reference, which completely has me shocked because it has a lyric that says, "to a bride with a paper ring." A paper doll would have a paper ring ;)
The 22 reference and the Moroccan red is the exact shade of her Red album. I think he said the mint green dress to confuse people because Katy Perry is known for wearing a mint green dress, but there is also a very innocent picture of Taylor wearing one too.

I think he may have been singing this about Taylor Swift because in his new song, which clearly has to be about taylor he titled it "paper dolls." This song talks about a "paper ring"
I think he has a part of him that thought highly of her and wanted to stay with her and then there was a more rational part that didn't think he was good for her because she was a good girl. |

This song is so great!!!! I am from North Carolina just like Kellie. This just reminds me of home. Let me just say, I have been to Albemarle. I do not think she was putting on an act on the show. haha my best friend is from Troy, which is right next to it and even smaller. |

yeah I liked what shakie04Andie said about this song is about Ashlee not Jessica....They are two totally different people, and just because they are sister's doesn't meant they are going to have the same sound or personalities...I'm a younger sister, and I don't have the awesome high pitched voice my sister has, but I can sing in my own way....If she didn't have an older sister I think she would still have made it on her own b/c of 7th Heaven...It is one of the most popular sitcoms on television and I think people would have bought her music b/c of that.....Everyone comparing Jessica and Ashlee is exactly what this song is about....b/c I think every younger sibling compares theirselves to their older sibling's and when they realize they can be their own person and that it is ok to have their own dreams then they feel like they have reached a huge milestone in your life....then you aren't living in a "shadow" anymore |
