This song has a kinda cool ring to it, I like what the drummer has goin on. All-around good song, but what the hell is up with the video? It makes about as much sense as a loudspeaker made of kleenex. As for the meaning, it's tough. Relationships or some business like that. |

wow. a sum 41 song with a deeper meaning than just talking about stuff as punky as possible so they will seem cool. HOW???? they must not have actually written it and had hoboes off the street pitch in each verse. lol, I like the song though. |

I think this song is an example of how hip-hop has become insanely popular because it's so easy to dance and party and have fun to. That's why it's popular, not because its deep or meaningful, or whatever. I definitely agree and don't consider this music at all. 50 Cent probably didn't even write these lyrics - that was probably eminem or dr. dre. I am a music purist and I love rock, especially alternative and punk. But I also like hip-hop because of the feeling it gives, of partying, havin fun, etc. That is, I don't like hip-hop because I think it's good music. I like it because it's fun, and when I want to play music (bass player for 7 years biotch), I play quality shit like green day, weezer, etc. Yeah, it doesn't really have a point except for people to party to, I would agree barinchild. And yes, MTV has still been ruined by shit like this because they're bitches of whoever gives them the most money. I am drunk and just got back from partying to music like this, and I love it. |

my god. is it just me or is this the lamest set of lyrics on this site? all they do is make up a couple of lines of original content (and even then its just talking about how the song is starting) and say it over and over again. and to top it all off, for a title they just reuse their name, and for the title of the album too. its deals like this that make me think the music industry is going to hell. LAME! |

this is one of the few good songs on TOYPAJ. as a whole enema of the state kicks its ass. it's also one of the few blink songs that contains any sort of depth, which is what I especially like. it shows blink's only redeeming quality: kids relate to their songs. musically I like green day and weezer a good deal better than blink, but I have to say I like this song a lot.
as for the girls thing, I can sympathize with each of you guys who have tried to talk to girls. I used to be just like that and now I have all kinds of female friends. I wish I could tell you that there's one secret to get all the women you want, but.....there isn't. you just have to go up and talk to her, and be yourself. that's all I can really tell. she will get a much better impression of you if you at least work up the balls to talk to her than if you just stand there fidgeting.
all the girls who come here, do you have anything to add? I want to help all the guys here who can't get girls, cuz I know what a terrible feeling it is. |

bj often comments on how he gets into this zone when he's playing live and really starts going after the song, and just goes crazy. when I play this song at frat parties (I'm a student at georgia tech), and girls around me are jumping to the beat of this song, and I pound the root notes on my maroon 5-string fender precision bass with the mid and low at full volume and the high at 5, I know what he means. this song kicks mothafuckin ass, and even though I don't think bj wrote it (I'm pretty sure its a cover), he is still one of the best songwriters ever and is the main reason green day is my favorite band. |

dude...that ain't right.
reminds me of cannibal corpse...they have a song just like this. they're the metal band in ace ventura: pet detective, and I thought it was flat-out funny to watch them and how seriously they and the audience take themselves and how ace just comes in and mocks the hell outta them |

same here...every time I hear this song I hear about this girl in my english class (I'm in college at Georgia Tech), and available girls here are EXTREMELY uncommon (the male/female ratio is like 72/28 here...sux), but anyway she's hot as hell, very cool, everything i look for in a girl, but she has a boyfriend. Just like any other girl here, has to belong to somebody... |

sk8masta is more on target then the rest of you combined. While I'm not in Eminem's head (thank God), I have a feeling much of this is embellished. I think he made this song partially because of the terrible relationship he has with his mother, but, more importantly, because he knew what lyrics he had to write to have an effect on people, and he knew he wanted to make a song to show how supposedly bad his childhood was. The majority of you here reacted to the song exactly the way he wanted you to when he wrote the song. Perhaps that's ok; perhaps I'm completely wrong and it really was this bad. But I don't think he has close to the depth and integrity that this song seems to reveal. While many people are much more obscene than Eminem (Slipknot anyone?), no one else exploits a disgusting amount of misogynism, racism, homophobia, the list goes on, to make money. He has some good songs, but some just flat-out disgust me. |

I used to really like blink. Back when they were old school and they hadn't sold out. Enema of the State for the most part isn't bad either. But now I can't deal with them anymore. Everyone there is pushing 30 and they're still writing songs about how it sucks to be a teenager (and fucking dogs too). I saw them on pop disaster, and green day's show kicked the shit out of blink's. Blink really needs to mature as a band and start making some more complex, musical songs. |
