Totally agree, this man has bounced back from 'babee hit mee one moooorreeee, tiiiii, iiiiaa, tiiiii aiii, ... baby hit me one more time! ' to one of the most talented blokes in the UK. Saying that, I used to like him anyway, can you feel the love in this room? He has since lost his arrogance, and developed a grateful attitude, the sort that isn't a miss whatever your practice. This song is really good, its like almost too original, when I see it - I think 'why hasn’t someone wrote this before??' I'm glad he's back, he has the vocals and the talent to go far, and as said above his father is Iranian! Yeah!
He’s completed his first goal in life, to get a Number 1 hit single, now all he has to do is get his album triple platinum... 13 years to do it... easy.

Yeah, good input Stryfehauk, maybe the comparison was a bit lame, but you've gotta be able to see where I'm coming from. Its the instrumental side of Staind & Nickelback more than the vocals. Check the intro to 'Staind - For You'. If that isn't Nickelback, then neither is Nickelback!
Interesting theory Ferret, I still don't think its serj, It really doesnt sound like him, putting a voice on or not.
Are Mr. Bungle and Rabbit Joint connected in any way, or are they just individual suspects? |

All the peoples whi STILL think this is SOAD... just take one more listen to it, especially the last 20 seconds, this guy isn't Serj, he hasn't got half the depth that Serj has. Same sorta accent, but thats all. Loads of bands can sound similar, take U2 and Remy Zero for example, or even Staind and Nickelback. The fact of the matter is, how ever small the difference is, its there. |

Few lines I'm unsure about, but on the whole its OK. (You try translating Irish Folk). Luckily I have irish roots, guess that helped!
In this song poor old Foster goes off to all sides of Ireland, leaving his wife-to-be back in the 'Old country'. After a 'while' he comes back home to her, and finds exactly what he was looking for, happiness! Isnt that just always the case!? |
