Another perfect Ozma song. Possibly my favorite. This just strikes me as that point where you're forcing yourself to get over someone and you're starting to gain confidence in yourself that you can do it. "I won't regret what I said"..but you still have that weakness. The beauty of this song is def. not just the lyrics...but that the music starts off fast and funky..and then slows down, gets more serious as the lyrics get more insecure and reflective. ...and p.s. if you haven't heard Wesley Willis...download now..bizarre stuff. |

I can't believe more people haven't commented on this. Ozma's songs have a BIG way of hitting so close to home w/ me...and this song definately stands out. All about having to see that person you care about and how it hurts to even look at them. It's intense. It's all about trying to move on b/c you know it's the "best thing" for you. |

I mean I think this song is deeper than it comes off as..he's depressed, lonely, and YES he has a girl to keep him company..but that's not really enough to "make" his world. I think it says a lot about relationships not being ones entire life. He's also willing to let her into his life, even if he is depressed, b/c she brings some happiness and hope. I think this song is a nice compliment to "Something's Missing" |

I say good for John for getting attention..not cool that at the Pier 6 show in Baltimore he played NO IWO songs or old unreleased songs..I mean at least give something to the fans that have been fans for awhile..the best was seeing him at the 9:30 club in Feb., it was small and he played all these old songs..but yeah, this song is beautiful.."but you already did, on somebody else's lips"..how perfect is that?? |
