| this is the first song I heard by In Flames, not only that but I heard the live version before the album one. I gotta say In Flames are one of the not too many bands that not only sound like the album when they play on stage but sometimes they even sound better. my favorite album is Clayman and Reroute to Remain sounds a little bit different than anything else they made, and I kinda hated it first time through, but now I like it and can even name 5 great songs on that album. mainstream or underground they still kick ass and they're still keeping the gothnburg sound alive, not only do they create kick ass music a new genre been created just to categorize their music "Melodic Death" so they're pioneers. | |

ok, there’s this sickness that some children get born with. I’m not sure of all of it’s effects but what I’m sure of is that the person who has is it is retarded and gets those weird chinese-like eyes (the name of the illness translated from my mother language is mongolian retardation, hope someone can shed a light on this since I suck at medical terms). linking the video with what some of you said I think that the song indeed talks about retarded children and how we treat them as outcasts. “we drink from the river then we turn around and put up our walls” the indication that we started out the same and will end up the same at the beginning of the song “life is a water fall, we’re one in the river and one again after the fall” and the selfishness portrayed in “cause we are the ones that want to play, always want to go but you never want to stay. and we are the ones that want to chose, always want to play but you never want to lose” all fit into my theory, but I can’t seem to link the important part to it. where does the song title and the chorus fit? if we say that the child is looking at acrobats performing their aerials, then that takes care of the title, the video and half of the chorus. what about the rest? “Swimming through the void We hear the word, We lost ourselves, But we find it all? Aerials, in the sky, When you lose small mind, You free your life. Aerials, so up high, When you free your eyes, Eternal prize.” ? |
