Could the song start off any more beautiful? Then the voice he uses is unlike anything I've ever heard before. As for the meaning: in my opinion, a guy loses his love and his life becomes a living hell. Everyday is just a tragic as the last and finally he decided to slice away and join her in "summerland". I take the last verse as meaning even though he'd go straight to hell, he'll break into heaven to be near her and "grace her lips with contraband". |

| Tool – Triad Lyrics

The song is called triad because Triad means 3. Disposition, Reflection, and Triad were origingally one incredbly long song, but were split up. I think they did this because the 3 songs, when combined are like three parts of a story. Disposition is very somber, taking a step back and looking at the things in life and starring at your world. Reflection is then looking in towards yourself and finding what truly makes you alive, kill the ego and become one with the world around you. Then Triad is the great explosion of freedom and knowledge that comes when you combine yourself and your world. |

I agree with stayhuman, this song is about communicating. But there are also some really deep meanings that can be brought forth from this song. Personally, I listen to it when I just want to sit back and look at the world. The song is so calming that you can just stare out and the world and be amazed by it. Definately one of my favorite songs of all time. It's amazing how much Maynard can say in the same three lines repeated over and over. Take a step back next time you're listening to this song, stand outside and just stare at the world. It's an incredible feeling of serenity. |

| Cradle of Filth – Lord Abortion Lyrics

There's more to the song: I think it's about twisted serial killers in general. He mentions Gilles De Rais and Dahmer who were both serial killers and cannibals. The song also hints at a demented childhood: his mother died while trying to abort him (sick ain't it?) and then his father just screwed whores. The narrator takes over and rapes virgins and does some sadistic this (cutting, stabbing, ect...) and then he goes back for more after they die. He admits it's sick, but he just has to do it to feel complete. That's the twisted nature of Cradle for you. |

I agree with dillenger, the narrator (voiced by Dani) is singing about how the priests of the village killed his beautiful lover because they couldn't have her. :-( While mourning her, the narrator finds the church bell tower key and decides on a little revenge. He goes and lights the chruch on fire (with all the parishaners inside) and locks the door. I love this song and the video (although cut short) is great! |

no, I knew about I need about "I need mayo" or it could be "The Army May Though" but that's besides the point. At the END of the song. He says "when you live" and then stuff I can't make out. Listen and tell me what you think. |

I have a question to which I'm seeking an answer: near the end of this song (after "thank god for your strength will you hold your breath?
waiting for me to exhale in the short life lived") he sings something that sounds like: "when you live" Can anyone tell me what the hell takes up the last 30secs of the song? |

I can't believe no one commented on this song before me! It's the best song they've ever done. As for it's meaning: it's about how no matter how good of a person you think you are or how mighty people think the human race are we are all really evil inside and we are heading towards our reing. |
